We currently have three intern positions available. If you think you have what it takes to become a full member of the team for a 1 to 3 month period, to gain experience working in the high pressure world of magazine editorial then we look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you can do!

Editorial/Writing - click to apply...
You’ll need to be able to write (go figure). And not just string together words, but write really fresh, insightful and entertaining copy with a witty edge. You’ll need to be able to research and compose pieces on a range of subjects within a tight time-frame. You’ll also need to be able to sensitively adapt pieces to bring them up to a higher standard. You’ll need to be a proficient proof-reader with an excellent grasp of the English language and good attention to detail.

Sales is the lynch pin of the magazine. Without advertising revenue, it simply couldn’t exist. We need confident talented sales people capable of closing deals over the phone and in person, selling to both local businesses and our growing list of national clients. Above all you need to be passionate about the magazine and aware of the kind of demographic it appeals to. You’ll need to use initiative and conduct research to constantly come up with fresh leads and original ideas for advertising.

If you possess and can use a digital SLR camera to a high standard then we want to hear from you. We’re always looking for photographers to bolster our ranks and take high quality and original images of a variety of subjects. In particular we are always on the look out for gig photographers and fashion photographers. Previous experience in these areas would be preferable.

We also need freelance photographers for occasional jobs based on producing copy for adverts (ie: product shots, shots of businesses etc).

More generally we are putting out a call for casual photographers to take out-and-about shots for our Maddogs and Englishmen pages and our forthcoming gig photo section of our website. If you’re interested then please get in touch!

Help to get the magazine out there! Were looking for enthusiastic people to help distribute the magazine in a number of key areas including: Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge, Colchester, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Bury, Woodbridge and Aldeburgh. If you live in one of these areas and are familiar with the cool spots (venues, bars, cafes and independent shops) that would take the magazine then we’d love to hear from you. You’d just need to put in a few hours once a month (most likely a weekend). If you have a car then even better.
