Back in the 70s there was mass hysteria connected to a changing cultural climate; the sexual revolution was in full swing and burning your underwear was so ‘last year’, Twiggy was still an icon, the miners were on strike, Mark Bolan was ‘fly’ and Kevin Keegan was taking the ‘Bowl cut’ to the pitch. Whether you were saving Green Shield Stamps for your weekly Co-Op binge or polishing your many Vespa wing mirrors, the 70s was the time to loose yourself in an explosion of colour reminiscent of Ki-Ora Um Bongo. A lot has changed since then; we have nuclear power and enough electricity to knock a hole in the ozone layer. But alas we have hit hard times again, so it’s time to take to the cheap foods and starve for those fashion luxuries (hey, at least you’ll be slim to enjoy them). So slip on your platforms, brush forward your fringe and get lost in our vintage fash’ extravaganza. This stuff’s so good it should be rationed...
